The player's task in Oxygen Not Included is to obtain food, water, oxygen, valuable resources and happiness for the duplicants - the inhabitants of his colony. The world has settled in different parts, because of this, half of the people went to other planets, and the second part called themselves duplicants and decided to travel through space, flying between asteroids. The idea of the most hardcore survival simulator in a strategic shell - Oxygen Not Included - shows that maintaining your own base and several people on it is incredibly difficult. The lower the happiness of our settlers, the more they protest, the worse they work and cope with their tasks. It is important that most settlers have an individual character. Fortunately, the developers made not several hundred players, but only a dozen.

The simulator's reality is off the charts. For example, in order for your people to feel at ease on the new asteroid you choose at the beginning, they need a full-fledged base. To upgrade it, you need to get out of the building and climb into the gorges to extract minerals. After that, the settlers will want a sufficient amount of food with a "reserve", and then they will require a car for rest. As soon as they begin to absorb everything in their path, you have waste, which leads to a series of diseases. Thus, in the game we will cope with one problem, which immediately gives rise to another.

Colonists will have their own skill, which is determined during the execution of tasks. For example, some will be easy to learn and make plans; some will be easy to dig, because using a tool is not new to them; some will be great at creating creative solutions to problems. Everyone does their job, but you must carefully monitor the bladder filling, stress, and "workload" of your settlers.
