Beast of Reincarnation is GAME FREAK's action RPG set in a far-future Japan that has already ended once. Civilisation collapsed centuries ago and the land has been reclaimed by corrupted spirits, leaving a girl named Emma and her dog Koo to travel through the ruins of a country nobody remembers. It pairs fast, weighty combat with a companion system that is far more than decoration, and it is the studio's most ambitious original project outside the series it is best known for.

Koo is not a summon on a cooldown. Your dog tracks scents, digs up buried items, flanks enemies during fights and reacts to how you play, and the bond between the two is the emotional spine of the entire game. Commanding him well is a skill in itself, and the combat is balanced around the assumption that you will.
