The game takes place in July 2006 on the fictional island of Banoi, a famous tropical resort located off the east coast of Papua New Guinea, north of Australia.

It is the largest island in the Banoi Archipelago, which also includes the islands of Palanai, Narapela, and Amala.

In recent years, Banoi has become quite famous and populated, but many areas of the island are still wild, untouched by the modern world. Although its capital Moresby was founded by Australian settlers back in 1895, most areas of the island are covered in impenetrable jungle and remain unexplored.

Banoi is world famous as the location of the popular luxury five-star resort hotel "Royal Palms Resort" which often attracts celebrities. Not far from Banoi, on a small island surrounded by a minefield, is the Banoi Maximum Security Prison, a private facility for holding international terrorists and criminals.

The island has a police force and its own military force called the Banoi Island Defense Force (BIDF), which is responsible for the protection and security of Banoi.

For unknown reasons, a zombie invasion occurs in this area. Four survivors, who are immune to the zombie virus, are looking for a way to leave the island. They are helped and guided by a voice on the radio, scientists, and other survivors, of whom there are quite a lot on the island.

But in order to get out, the heroes will have to go through difficult trials - infected beaches, a dead city, jungles, meeting and killing terrible undead and marauders, their only hope is a helicopter that is on the prison island.
