As Carpenter’s eyes are opened to the horrors hidden beneath Mantel’s propaganda, players must confront the devastating reality behind the war — and choose whether to remain a tool of control or fight for something real.

Gameplay in Haze centers around the duality of power and dependence. As a Mantel trooper, you benefit from the advantages of Nectar — improved reflexes, enhanced vision, and boosted strength — but overdose or sabotage can turn those same benefits into deadly liabilities. Later, as a member of the rebel faction known as the Promise Hand, you must rely on guerrilla tactics, ambushes, and clever strategy to take down your former allies, using the enemy’s strengths against them.
