Marvel's Spider-Man 2 puts two Spider-Men on the streets of a New York that has grown to include Brooklyn and Queens, and then spends its runtime pulling both of them apart. Peter Parker is trying to hold down a life he keeps failing at while something is quietly changing him, and Miles Morales is figuring out who he is when he is not standing in someone else's shadow. Insomniac's sequel is bigger in every direction — a larger map, faster traversal, two full ability sets — but its real ambition is a story about what these two are willing to lose.

🕸️ Two Spider-Men, One City

You switch between Peter and Miles freely across the open world, and they are not reskins of each other. Miles keeps his venom powers and gains new ones; Peter gains the symbiote and its considerably nastier toolkit. Story missions alternate between them, and the game is structured so that neither feels like the sidekick.

🖤 The Symbiote Changes Peter

The suit is not a costume swap. It rewires Peter's combat around aggression and tendrils, and it visibly changes how he talks to the people around him. The game commits to the arc rather than treating it as a temporary power-up, and the fallout drives the entire second half.

🪂 Web Wings And A Bigger Map

Traversal now spans Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, with web wings and wind tunnels letting you cover open water and low-rise districts at speed. Crossing the whole map without touching the ground is genuinely viable, and fast travel is instant when you want it.

🦹 A Deep Villain Roster

Kraven the Hunter arrives in New York with a private army and a list, and what he sets in motion drags in Venom, the Lizard and a supporting cast the series has been building toward across two games and a spin-off.

🏙️ A City Worth Exploring

Side content is built around characters rather than checklists — hunts, science experiments, neighbourhood stories and a photo mode that the game clearly expects you to abuse. Districts change as the story escalates.
