Breathedge is a survival game set in the debris field of a space hearse that has recently stopped being a spacecraft. You are an ordinary man transporting your grandfather's ashes when everything goes wrong, and what follows is a comedy about scavenging for oxygen while an immortal chicken watches you slowly work out that the accident was not an accident. RedRuins Softworks pairs a genuinely solid survival loop with writing that refuses to take a single moment of it seriously.

🫁 Oxygen Is The Clock

Every excursion outside is bounded by how much air you are carrying, so exploration is a series of calculated round trips rather than open wandering. Extending that leash through better suits and oxygen production is the backbone of progression, and early on it is genuinely tense.

🔧 Scavenge, Craft, Expand

Debris yields materials, materials become tools, tools open up debris you could not previously reach. The crafting tree is broad and the game keeps handing you reasons to build a bigger base and push further out into the wreck.

🚀 Build A Station

Your base grows from a single pressurised module into a sprawling structure with power, life support, storage and workshops. Constructing it is a large chunk of the appeal, and the game gives you real freedom over the layout.

😂 Comedy Throughout

The tone is the selling point — a constantly sarcastic narrator, absurd item descriptions and a plot that treats catastrophe as an inconvenience. It is genuinely funny rather than merely quirky, and it carries the slower stretches.

🕵️ A Conspiracy To Unravel

Underneath the jokes is a real story about why the hearse came apart, told through the wreckage and the people who were on board. It escalates further than the opening hours suggest it will.
